I purchased this theme this morning, and am frustrated. I love the design, but it break core features of Wordpress. The “home” page is hard coded navigation. It expects that your homepage will always be your “blog” page. I am unable to use the functionality in wordpress to set a different page as my blog, and use the main page as a blog category, or a blog page.

The functionality I refer too is in the Wordpress Admin Panel.

Settings -> Reading -> Front page displays ->”a static page”

If I set “Home Page” and “Posts Page” to be specific pages The navigation is all broken, and it doesn’t behave the way you would expect.

I hope this is fixed. Themes should not break basic Wordpress functionality. I really don’t want to have to hack the code to make it work.

After downloading and activating the plugin go to it’s options page and input the settings as I have below. The most important setting is what I have in the “javascript Settings” input. the rest can be up to you. Place the following code in the “Custom rel” attribute box. prettyPhoto[pp_gal]

I dont have the box you mention so I can not place the code “prettyPhoto [ppgal]”

The wordpress version I’m using is 3.0.1 and don’t have the “Custom rel” box…

Yes, I have. I’m trying all possible solutions. Like I said I really like this theme its just a little frustrating right now. I dummied another theme and the TimThumb worked fine, so I know its not that. Was there an update that I’m not aware of. I even tried re-downloading it and its still giving me issues.

There are some bugs in this theme, Twitter option doesn’t work it give an error message Fatal error: Call to undefined function twitter_messages() in /home/jodilyno/public_html/jodilynokeefe.com/wp-content/themes/Oxide/index.php on line 66 if I put the twitter off it says everytime page no content excist at page 1 loading page 1

3. this isn’t part of the theme (unless I’m mistaken), so you would probably need a developer’s help, or find a video gallery sidebar widget from Wordpress.org.

Question: where does the Deadline theme pull the date from? In my main WP settings, I have the date properly set to my time zone (Eastern time zone, Toronto, Canada), however the date in the top left corner moves to the next day about 3-4 hours early.
