I’m new to wp-themes. Bought your Sleekslide portfolio (looks great) but I think I’m missing something? The following message appeared when I uploaded the theme “All of this theme’s files are located in /themes/sleekslide-portfolio-4-in-1-source/sleekslide”. I’m not sure if this is the source of my problem, but I can’t do much with the theme. I’ve tried desperately to get photos in the slider/header. How can I do this? my website: www.walzl.ca

Hello again. I just wanted to let you know that I fixed the issue I was having with the error message. After going through the documentation, searching google, and what not I went back to the old default method – turn off and on the plug-ins you are using to see if it corrects the issue.

The issue I was having was with the redirect plug-in I was using. So . . . doing that did the trick.

While trying to fix the issue on my own before posting on the forum I downloaded some plug-in updates that were available and thought that would fix the issue if there was a bug that was fixed/included in the update. Which is was – but I had to deactivate and reactivate it for it to work.

I don’t know. Simple stuff. Easy to forget.

I am still having trouble getting the excerpts to display instead of the full posts. If anybody has had the same issue and fixed it please let me know.

Purchased this theme today, and am so excited familiarizing myself with it!

A couple of questions:

1. I removed the search bar as instructed (mainly because I have several pages, and the menu ends up wrapping around to the next line which isn’t very attractive), but the menu still wraps around. It’s as if the search bar is gone, but the space that it took up still exists forcing the menu to still wrap around. How can I remove that space, so the remaining links can take the place of the search bar?

2. I’ve followed directions to make a static home page, which includes hiding the 2nd home page as a child page of About. I then used Exclude Pages to hide both of them, yet on the Home Page – right under the images – ABOUT still shows up. How can I remove that About?

Yesterday i bought and installed this great theme, i read that it needs GD-library in order to work. At first this wasn’t the case so I contacted my hoster.

This is what he sent me:

GD Support enabled GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible) FreeType Support enabled FreeType Linkage with freetype FreeType Version 2.3.7 GIF Read Support enabled GIF Create Support enabled JPG Support enabled PNG Support enabled WBMP Support enabled XBM Support enabled

But still it doesn’t work…

If you do move wp-config, the theme begins to distort and javascript breaks. I pulled out my hairs for hours over this one! Perhaps it could be fixed please?
