Nice work, congrats!

We need some help around a website we are making with your template.

We are working on the config of theme Web Explorer homepage.

We want to set the content of the home page with pages instead of a category.

In the help file you say:

“To set the category whose posts will be shown you have to create a custom field in your page called postCategory and for value to insert the ID of the category.”

How can we change it to call some existing pages for the content of the home page?

Maybe with some php code? if yes, then where and how?

On the other hand, Is it possible to hide the post of the Index page slider – image fader. We want to show only images (with link to pages).

I appreciate you taking the time to help me. However, I think I’ve just made an enormous mistake!

In trying to instal stat counter code, I ahve just messed up my footer.php code, and now my site doesn’t have a footer! I know this was my own stupid mistake, and you should slap me for not copying it down before modifying it! But i was wondering if you could help.

I have tried to FTP the origional footer.php file, but it doesn’t replace the messed up one. What should I do?

I just purchased the theme. After reading the comments I looked at the Focus theme that was mentioned and I have to say I don’t understand the criticism. This theme is has the look and feel that I need for my site…Focus does not. There are only so many ways to build a website and similarities are to be expected but this is in no way a copy in my opinion…Good Work!!!

Nice looking theme. But why no categories for the portfolio section? Wouldn’t everyone want to categorize their portfolio? For example someone searching through a graphic design portfolio may want to view just “logo designs”. A person searching a property maintenance portfolio page may only want to see pics of “aslphalt” work. Anyway, love the look of the theme.

Thanks for your reply to my earlier question (and apologies for spelling your name wrongly!). May I ask two more quick questions, please?

1) How can I disable the site title at the top of the main page? I know I can replace it with a custom logo, but I’d like to have neither title nor logo. (If I enable a custom logo but do not specify an image, then the site title still appears, albeit in smaller font.)

2) I’d like to make (some of) the top-level parent menu items non-clickable—so that they don’t link to anything and visitors have to click on the child items. I know the trick of using the “Custom link” feature from the WP menu and inserting # instead of giving a link. The trouble is, this still leaves the parent menu clickable (the cursor turns to a pointer), even though clicking just refreshes the original page. What I’d like to do it is remove the hotlink altogether, so that it’s obvious to visitors that the parent items don’t link to anything. Is that possible, please?

Hi and thanks for a nice theme, perception, I have a problem. The post titles wont show swedish characters but inside the post it seem to work fine. Can it be a problem with that cufon font thing? I use firebug to track it down but I need help to get it to work…

Searching on cufon and missing characters, it could be that i need a cufon.js file that have support for my language, is that right? Can you send me a proper one in that case?

Hello! Another problem. I did few gallery posts, defined gallery layout site, added gallery categories and set gallery posts with the categories, but the category (gallery) menu doesn’t work. Why? Any ideas? Is it some common settings or else or I’ve missed sth?

I bought your theme – love it.

Question: Is there any way to use AJAX function on the Ajax Portfolio Category through anything else but the actual menu (like a flash file)?

Right now, if I use the ”?ajax-portfolio=” link it reloads the entire page, I’d like to to just fade to the new page like the regular links in the category does. Note that I want the link to be within one of the Portfolio items and the link IS within a Flash file. Trying to link it normally forces a page reload and destroys the entire point of the cool effect.

Any way to do it quick without having to read 3 books on AJAX ?
