Hi ambersky, you bought not wordpress theme, but html-template. It’s not ready to work with wordpress.

Really Nice Website!!! I think it works in all of web points of view… the information “breathe” because of the paddings and also because of the font that you used !!!
Regarding of the backgrounds… well i think this one used on this project presentation itВґs really good and makes all the difference in highlight all the content information!!!
I just have some comments …
Why donВґt you show here the all your website styles? ( a preview of all the html tags, tables, blockquotes… blablabla…)
Why donВґt you give an option for a drop down menu?
And finally why donВґt you work your web form … i think you should do that because is not consistent with your website style!!

However I come from a print background and have a basic understanding of html and css and was wondering if customizing the theme to my needs requires alot more knowledge?

Very nice template, almost a buy but for me lacking:
1. Full Width template. 2. More nice looking tables. 3. Single page have actually to small width for text.
Pluses:
1. Very nice and clean blog. 2. Clean and well designed home page. 3. Style is a blast!
