@poetawd These are html/css tabs, not js. Each tab is a list element (li). When you want to show any tab as selected, just give it an id="current" so it becomes white. As you can probably see this navigation doesn’t require any coding to work. One thing to remember is to give a tab an id on every corresponding page, so the user knows where he is at any given time. As to the DataTables plug-in it looks interesting thanks to its search feature. I will definitely give it a try next time. Thanks for your interest and a valuable resource!

I don’t know if this an area you can support but I have a few questions about the portfolio section in the wordpress version.

First, on your vcard site using the template, your thumbnails are custom rather than small versions of the actual image. I would love to do the same thing on mine. Is that something I need to do in flickr or is this an adjustment I can do in the template? I’m savvy with HTML and CSS , so can make the necessary changes if you can point me in the right direction.

Second, I saw in one screenshot of the template that you had a hover overlay showing project details (Name, Date Created, link to the site, etc). Were you using a particular jquery or mootool to achieve that result and is it anything I can duplicate on my own (details would be great)?

Last, I would like to echo weings01’s request about figuring out how to link directly to the site being sampled (maybe using the above method).

There appears to be some kind of browser issue. I’ve not encountered anything like this before when editing templates, but the file works fine live unedited, in all browsers. But as soon as ‘basic’ changes are made to the template. I.e. changing a portfolio image name, a social username and standard contact details, the saved files can’t be viewed in IE8 and Safari, but they all work fine in FireFox.

Any solution to fix this? As it appears any edits made to the template, no matter how small, don’t seem to work in any browser other than Firefox.

Some info that might help you sort out a fix to the browser problem…If viewed in Firefox the address bar shows ‘domain.com’ and when you visit other pages it remains at ‘domain.com’ throughout all pages. But once edited and you attempt to view pages in IE and Safari the ‘domain.com’ that you would see throughout the site in FireFox changes to ‘domain.com/portfolio.html’ in IE/Safari when you go to the portfolio page and when this happens you get a 404 page not found error in all browsers other than Firefox. This is the same for every page (social/contact etc) other than the index, which works fine.

Note that the only edits made to the template are basic word edits in the HTML . No HTML code or CSS has been changed.

Hi. Great file! It works a charm in Firefox…but I had a few issues previewing the files in other browsers before they were uploaded. Other than that – awesome file!

I just integrated your admin template into my site, and all is wonderful except that I just found that the buttons do not work in IE. I even tried the index.html and index2.html files that shipped with template, and the buttons don’t work in IE either. Then I went back to themeforest.net and tried it on the live preview in IE and same situation.

Is this a known issue? Do you have a fix?

One other thing, Is there any way of adding before and next buttons to images from the portfolio page? I figured since all the iamges have a rel=”prettyPhoto”, then all the images would link and can be viewed using a next button instead of closing the window and clicking on another thumbnail.

Is there a way to change the loading image for the home page slider? Right now, it is a grey box with an ugly font that says, loading first image. I want to make that my own design. Is there a way? I can’t find that image anywhere.

I need to insert my logo which is bigger than the default logo. It isn’t too much bigger (it is the same width, but about 55px in total height).. When I insert my logo, the navigation gets all funky. I am having trouble changing the search watermark to the text I want. I went in the screen.js file, I made the changes as your instruction and still it says search not what I want. Also, your instructions for this is not very clear, you say change the watermark varible, can you be more clear exactly what we are supposed to do, not everyone understands coding as you do. i was about the 19th (i think) person to buy this, and havent had any issues with missing images or such like!....

the link issue people are talking about (s.ytimg.com) i believe is the webpage just trying to load a default video from an internet source. It is doing this because there a video used in the demo to show that there is the coding available to use videos in your own sites!! the reason your internet browsers are saying there is a potentially unsafe operation in process is because you are launching a file locally and the coding within the page is trying to EITHER load adobe flash (which will always throw up a problem in your browser when viewing local files) so you can accept the notice and view it OR you are trying to download a video or some kind of media from a source on the internet!

whenever ever you preview your work locally on your machine which has content that needs to be retrieved from servers elsewhere (internet) then a warning will be thrown up because your computer thinks a virus might be trying to download or upload information without you knowing about it!

i use IE6 test LIVE PREVIEW have big problem…why?

Your specs say this works in both IE6 and IE7 , but I’ve tested this theme in both versions, on a half dozen computers and there is no way this thing works in either. It’s just a jumbled mess as far as I can see. I know this is the demo site, but there shouldn’t be that much of a difference between the pages on servers. I would love to buy this theme for a client, so if there is a way it can be fixed for IE6 and 7 I’ll definitely grab it.

Sorry to sound negative, it’s a smoking hot theme design, so nice job indeed
